While the pop sound may be sparse here, they have managed to write some of their catchiest choruses: "Mr. Artistic", "Cupcake Wednesday", "When Mickey Died", and "Backpedal" just to name a few. As with all None More Black albums, Icons is dynamic and attentive songwriting that's rarely, if ever, a strain on the ears.5/5(5).
